This is how it works

Plata will be registered as an account information service with an EU PSD2 AISP license from FSA.

We are not a bank or a payment gateway. The money lent out on Plata will never go through Plata. The platform is an intermediate between private people loaning money to each other.

1

ID-check and credit-evaluation when you register

Plata will validate your identity and your credit evaluation. We ensure that a person lending out money has the funds, and that person loaning money is capable of return-payments.

Creating your profile on Plata is an administrative kr. 29,- one-off fee.

2

Create or search for loans that match your needs

The annual interest rate is locked at 6% for the loan-taker. All administrative fees are paid by the person loaning out the money.

Plata ensues that monthly return-payments match your budget-capabilities.

3

Sign the legal loan agreements

Plata facilitates a professional contract that both parties sign. A legal agreement is thereby signed that ensures payment and re-payments between the two parties.

4

Pay-out and monthly re-payments

Transfer of money is executed manually between the two parties, by submitting money to each other's bank accounts. Transfers must be performed on dates, with amounts, and with a unique bank-statement-code defined on Plata.

5

Plata monitors payments

Plata monitors that payments are performed as agreed. If not, Plata will notify both parties. In worst-case scenarios, Plata will administrate professional depth collection.

About us

Plata is the first online platform in Denmark that offers direct peer-2-peer loans.

Plata is established by people with many years of professional experience from IT and the financial sector. We are at the forefront of technology and use the latest EU legislation in this area.

UN SDG

Plata is looking for a show-down with the established financial sector, where we think too large percentages and fees are taken - thus holding back the free market economy. On this basis, we believe that we support UN SDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals), Goal 8 and Goal 10. Click on the image above to read more about these goals.

Our platform is not fully developed, and we are not yet approved by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority - You will not be able to borrow money through Plata until this happens.
